Born and raised in Montreal, a studio artist since 1999, my studio is located at Rue 137 Saint-Ferdinand, Unit 221, Montreal.
People who like my works often make observations regarding my distinctive use of colour and style. I favour using a wide and old palette that gives shapes to an expressionistic figurative form. This has been consistent from the early days since graduating with a B.F.A. from Concordia University in 1983.
I had the opportunity to travel to many countries, live and work and learn under various light intensities. This experience influences my overall choice in the blending of colours. It also broadens my learning of cultural diversity.
I have participated in numerous group exhibitions in Canada and overseas. My works have been acquired by patrons in Singapore, Hong Kong, Korea, United States, Vancouver, Regina, Winnipeg, Toronto, and Montreal.
My recent works focus on the relationship that exist between colours and shapes using acrylic, charcoal and dry pastel on canvas, wood panels and hand made paper.
